Cold brew, different from iced coffee, is highly concentrated and steeped overnight to give a smooth taste with low acid. Iced coffee, on the other hand, is simply your regular hot coffee that has been poured over ice and generally comes out tasting bland and diluted.
Cold Brew Mocha Ingredients
It’s quite easy to make cold brew mocha at home. The needed ingredients include;
- 1 cup cold brew Concentrate
- 5/6 cup Milk
- 1/2 tbsp Sugar
- 5 tsp Cocoa Powder
Optional topping that you can consider include whipped cream or cocoa powder.
To extract the correct flavors, you need to have beans that have been ground to the right size to match the brewing method you intend to use. For cold brew, a coarse grind is recommended as it allows for a slow extraction thus avoiding your cold brew from becoming bitter.
After you have made your cold brew concentrate, pour 1-cup of the concentrate, 5 teaspoons cocoa powder and 1/2 cup sugar into a blender. Mix them for about 30 seconds and then add milk, blending until smooth. Proceed to pour the blended mixture into a coffee glass over ice.
